Digipak
Digipaks are packaging for CDs and/or DVDs, conventionally made from cardboard, with a gloss coating, and will have an internal plastic casing for the disk. Also, some digipaks have inserts, that can contain track lists, specific artist information or quotes, as well as any other additional information. A digipak is a more aesthetically pleasing and eco-friendly alternative to a jewel case.
This alternative CD and DVD packaging became more popular with record companies and artists in the early 2000s.
